Indeed, not since Kennedy has an entire nation been lifted by the words of an inaugural. Not since Roosevelt has a President looked a battered, frightened people in the eye and told them that they were suffering, that the counsels of power were aware, and that together, all of us can rise, again, to face the challenges.
I am, once again, proud to be an American facing the rest of the world.
